Saint Francis, you who knew suffering and the fragility of life, I implore you to carry our pleas to heaven. Every day, there are people who struggle against illnesses that seem insurmountable, and in their pain, they often feel alone and helpless. I ask you to provide them with your companionship and to remind them that they are not alone on their journey. May your spirit of peace and love envelop them, and may they feel the presence of the Lord in every moment of their struggle.
I beseech you, Saint Francis, to intercede for the sick who are in hospitals, in their homes, or anywhere suffering is present. May your intercession bring them relief and strength, and may, through your mediation, they experience the healing they so long for. May each day, upon waking, they feel renewed hope and the certainty that there is a purpose in their suffering, and that the love of God surrounds them at all times.
Saint Francis, you who were a true friend of the poor and the sick, I ask you to inspire those who care for them. May doctors, nurses, and volunteers find in you a model to follow, and may their work be filled with love and dedication. May every gesture of care and every word of encouragement reflect the compassion you lived in your life. Through their work, may many find the hope and healing they need.
Finally, dear Saint Francis, I thank you for your intercession and for the love you always offer us. May, through your example, we learn to be instruments of peace and healing in the world.
